From A to A: Academics, Applications, and Admissions is a bilingual, accessible college admissions resource created for first-generation students and their families. We break down the process—from writing essays and choosing colleges to understanding financial aid—into manageable steps in English and Spanish. Each month, we focus on one key part of the admissions journey, helping you stay on track with practical advice, planning tools, and encouragement.
Why we started
We started this project because we’ve seen how overwhelming and confusing college admissions can be, especially for first-gen families and Spanish-speaking households. We wanted to create a clear, culturally aware, and helpful space. Everything we share is based on what we wish we had access to when applying to college.
